Dubai Mall Shark Tank Cracks, Stirring Up Terrible Memories of Jaws 3
Everything in Dubai is bigger and more elaborate than it needs to be, including the mall, which not only has stores peddling decadent Western wares, but also sports a gigantic aquarium filled with sharks. That probably sounds cool especially to all the James Bond villains out there, but here’s something that’s not cool: when the glass window on the giant aquarium filled with sharks cracks, threatening to flood the people area with a large volume of water mixed with hundreds of sharks. Needless to say, the Dubai mall people quickly evacuated the aquarium area once they realized there was a chance the sharks might get where the people are. It’s also worth noting that the aquarium was built by the same firm responsible for Dubai’s main attraction, the world’s tallest building, part of which recently had to be closed down because the elevator broke. And you thought the contractors who effed up your new bathroom sucked.
