Irina Krupnik Among the Millions Not Amused by “Couples Retreat.” Her Reason is a Little More Personal Than Most.
Makeup artist Irina Krupnik used to be a model, and about 10 years ago, she posed for a swimsuit picture that ended up being released to stock photography companies to be licensed out. Fast forward to last year: Irina is innocently attempting to enjoy the Vince Vaughn comedy Couples Retreat when, to her horror, she finds her old swimsuit photo being employed as a prop in a scene involving Jon Favreau and meat-beating. Appalled by this disgusting misuse of her image, Irina is suing Universal for $10 million. “If you’re a good-looking young woman, you don’t want anyone leering at you or fondling you,” said Irina’s lawyer. “If someone did in Central Park what they showed in Couples Retreat, they would be thrown in jail.” Irina’s suit alleges that Couples Retreat “soiled her wholesome image” by showing Favreau fapping to her picture. And soiled our minds, Irina…soiled them forever.
