18-Year-Old Singer Charice Got Botox Treatment for “Glee” Debut
Botox isn’t just for old bags like Nicole Kidman and Courteney Cox anymore.
Nowadays, even young girls without a single wrinkle on their faces are getting the muscle-paralyzing, allegedly-youth-restoring treatment. Young girls like 18-year-old Filipino singing sensation Charice, who not only had her face shot up with Botox recently, but also underwent a 30-minute Thermage skin-tightening prodedure.
All because she wanted to look her youngest and freshest for her debut on the hit show Glee.
“All people will be anticipating how will Charice look?” the singer explained in adorably broken English. “Is she good enough to pit against Rachel Berry? So of course there is tremendous pressure.”
Well, I guess if an entire ethnic group is staring at your face on TV looking for the merest sign of imperfection, that will naturally make you insecure about your appearance and therefore willing to submit yourself to all manner of tortures.
Of course all this begs a question: Are Filipinos really that obsessive about Charice or is she just totally delusional?
Also, if you’re on a show called Glee, but are unable to express glee because your face is frozen like a shiny plastic mask…
Is that ironic or am I using that word wrong again?

This has been blown out of proportion!
1) CHARICE DID NOT GET BOTOX SHOTS TO MAKE HERSELF LOOK YOUNG-ER.
2) According to the doctor (in an interview), Charice went to her clinic because she has a couple of pimples on her forehead. That’s why Charice said she just wanted to look “fresh”
3) The doctor suggested that Charice should get Botox shots and thermage treatment because she (BELO) noticed that Charice’s cheeks were getting bigger. Supposedly, Charice’s cheek muscles got bigger because she constantly chews gum.
4) The botox was for her jaw/cheek muscles. Apparently, botox shots would relax the muscles and stop them from getting bigger.
5) Charice shouldn’t have listened to the Filipino doctor (Dr. Belo). Belo is freakin’ crazy!
I feel sad for Charice. She’s such a good girl. It’s heartbreaking that she now goes through all these madness.
