How high were the guys from Weezer when they decided to make their new album cover nothing but a picture of Jorge Garcia aka Hurley from Lost? And then name the album “Hurley” in honor of everyone’s favorite tubby plane crash survivor who talks to dead people and is either cursed or blessed depending on which dimension he happens to be residing in?
Pretty high, I’d say.
Of course, they do have everyone talking about their new album now. Or at least the cover.
Piggybacking waning cultural phenomena may become the new go-to marketing gimmick after this. Can’t wait for the new Nickelback album, “Bella.”
