Lindsay Lohan Accused of Hit-and-Run on Nanny, Baby in Stroller
Is Lindsay Lohan in really big trouble again, or is her latest drama nothing more than a figment of some greedy slimeball’s imagination?
I hope for Lindsay’s sake that the man accusing her is lying, because if he isn’t? Jail will be too good for her.
The newest alleged incident on Lindsay’s long rap sheet of real and fabricated transgressions went down around 5 PM on Wednesday in West Hollywood. According to at least two witnesses, Lohan rolled through a red light in her Maserati after leaving a parking garage, failed to look both ways and lightly struck a nanny pushing a baby through the crosswalk in a stroller.
“Lindsay took the red light and hit the stroller,” one witness told Radar Online. “It wasn’t super hard, but she made impact and hit them.”
Added the same person, “Lindsay pulled to the right, stopped for two seconds, and then just kept going.”
Here’s where things get sketchy: The same witness who told Radar that the impact wasn’t “super hard” turned around and told TMZ that Lohan hit the nanny and stroller hard enough to almost knock them over. Also, it turns out that the witnesses’s friend happened to be standing there with a camera, and got video of the aftermath of the accident – which the two immediately started peddling. Also, despite the horrific nature of the incident, nobody present bothered to call the cops.
Radar Online ended up paying for the two witnesses’ videotape, which shows only the nanny pushing the stroller along after the alleged incident, and a car that is supposed to be Lohan’s “speeding away” in the background. There is absolutely nothing on the tape that incriminates Lohan. Furthermore, the main witness interviewed by Radar says that, when he talked to the nanny who supposedly got hit, she was too “shocked and scared” to say anything, plus she was Hispanic and possibly didn’t speak English. So, conveniently, no statement at all from the alleged victim.
Perhaps if we lived in some dystopian nightmare world, this evidence would be enough to convict Lohan. But because we live in America, it is only enough to get her blasted in the media by a bunch of people who believe what they choose to believe – namely, that Lindsay Lohan is a menace to society.
Pardon me if I wait for the police investigation before I go lambasting anyone. But wait, is there even going to be a police investigation? Nobody bothered calling the cops after the horrible near-baby-killing, remember. That’s normally how those things go down too: Bunch of people see famous celebrity almost kill a nanny and a kid, nobody calls the cops, some guy who happened to be there with a camera sells the video even though there’s nothing interesting on it.
This one’s smellier than Lohan’s jail underwear.
