Snooki in Court: Judge Calls Her “Lindsay Lohan Wannabe”
The judge in Snooki‘s disorderly conduct case had harsh words for the Jersey Shore muppet when she appeared in court on Wednesday. Unfortunately, the harsh words were not followed up by a harsh sentence: Snooki received only 2 days of community service after being found guilty, and not life without parole as I called for.
Snooki was in court because, on July 30th, she was arrested for making a drunken nuisance of herself on the beach in Seaside Heights, NJ while filming Jersey Shore. Apparently someone forgot to tell the police that Snooki is actually legally obligated to make a drunken nuisance of herself in the presence of cameras, per the terms of her MTV contract.
The orange-hued Snooki apologized to the court for her behavior on Wednesday, calling it an “anomaly.” The judge responded by labeling her actions “rude and self-indulgent” and asking her whether “it was worth trading [her] dignity for a paycheck.”
I think we all know the answer to that one. Dignity schmignity.
The judge then gave Snooki one final burn, quipping, “You seem to be acting like a Lindsay Lohan wannabe.” Oh judge, so far from the truth. Lindsay Lohan is actually sort of hot when she gets drunk and stumbles all over herself. Snooki is just…Snooki.
