Wyclef Jean Accuses Sean Penn of Sniffing Cocaine

It took awhile, but Wyclef Jean has finally responded publicly to Sean Penn‘s negative comments about him and his absurd plan to run for president of Haiti.

Because Wyclef is a musician, his crackback took the form of new verse added to his song “President.”  Here’s video of Wyclef dropping the new Penn-hating lines during this weekend’s Hot 97 concert.  At about the 42 second mark Wyclef sings:  “I got a message for Sean Penn.  Maybe he ain’t see me in Haiti because he was too busy sniffing cocaine.”

The coke blast is a response to Penn’s assertion that Wyclef doesn’t spend enough time in Haiti.  Later in the song, Wyclef also smacks his former Fugees-mate Pras, who has himself been critical of Jean’s political plans.  “I got a message for Praswell: Even though you don’t want to support me, I got love for you, even though you only kicked 8 bars in the Fugees,” Wyclef sings.

So, to sum up the action so far:  Sean Penn says Wyclef Jean is nothing but a corporate stooge and a clown who seldom travels to the earthquake-ravaged country he wants to lead and then only in the company of a gaudy entourage.  Wyclef shoots back, “Yeah, well, you do coke Sean Penn.”  And what else does Sean do, Wyclef?  Eat boogers?  Does his underwear smell?  Is he a liar-liar-pants-on-fire?  Who taught you to argue, Pee Wee Herman?

And this guy wants to be president of a country?  I wouldn’t elect him to be president of the Wyclef Jean fan club. I’m tellin’ you, It ain’t easy to make Sean Penn look like the more mature, articulate participant in a dispute, but Wyclef just managed to do it.
