Super Bowl Commercials: Budweiser tugs at heart strings once again with “Puppy Love”

Start with the song. “Let Her Go” by Passenger is a beautiful song, but more importantly, it has rapidly ascended the list of “songs you sing really loudly and cry a little when you’re by yourself in the car.”

You know what I’m talking about:

Of course, the reigning champion of the ”songs you sing really loudly and cry a little when you’re by yourself in the car” category is “Someone Like You” by Adele. But Passenger is trying to make a run at her.

So that’s the song. From there you know what Budweiser is up to with this Super Bowl commercial. Building on the momentum of their feel-good Clydesdale commercial last year, they’ve now added a puppy into the mix. You can pretend you don’t think it’s cute all you want, but you’ll be lying to yourself.

With that, I present “Puppy Love.”
