Images surfaced over the weekend, of what appears to be some sort of really large fish-like creature, swimming just below the surface, in Loch Ness.
The picture was found by two enterprising young Nessy fans, as they perused Apple Maps; the image can only be seen on Apple products. In the picture above, you can see the object as it is compared to 4 boats, which are closer to the shore.
However, at closer inspection, the “creature” looks like a boat has been blurred out of the picture, leaving the wake impression as the only evidence it was even there.
Of course, once this hit the interwebs, people went crazy with their monster hunter theories. Could this actually be the Loch Ness Monster? Sadly, as much as I want this to be the legendary Nessy, I think this is just what it looks like, an image of a boat, just blurred out.
Above is a GIF made by Sploid user Davewood111, as he took a bunch of images from Apple Maps of Loch Ness, where it would appear the “creature” is traveling around the Loch. As you may, or may not know, Apple Maps will blur out any personal identifying information on their maps. So, it would seem that the Loch Ness Monster is in fact a large boat, just blurred-out, in order to protect the identity of its owners. Nessy, once again, has evaded legitimate detection.
