In this week’s edition of Entertainment Weekly, the magazine revealed 8 new photos from the Avengers: Age of Ultron. The photos are preceded by the cover, which includes Iron Man and Captain America, however, the two heroes are upstaged by the film’s villain, Ultron.

This first official look at two of the Avengers, reveals slight alterations to both Iron Man and Captain America.

Cap’s uniform is a hybrid of the original old school uniform he wore in Captain America: The First Avenger, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. On his shoulder is a A, which seems to support the rumor that Marvel will have the Avengers start branding their name, in the cinematic universe.

Iron Man’s suit has a more pronounced chest piece, although he is still sticking with the red and gold theme.

Standing between our two heroes is the film’s villain, Ultron. Ultron, played by James Spader, looks quite different from the comic book version. However, he looks menacingly enough, and that’s what’s really important.

Inside this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly, 8 new official photos are revealed.

Here, we have a look at the on set wardrobe hanger. Iron Man, Captain America, Thor Black Widow, Hulk (I don’t think the wardrobe is big enough to hold a Hulk costume), Hawkeye, and Nick Fury are all represented.

It appears that Hawkeye is getting a new look, departing from the all black that he sported in Avengers.

In this photo, director Joss Whedon is giving direction to Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), while Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) prepares for a scene.

Speaking of the Scarlet Witch, here she is with her twin brother, Quicksilver played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson. It’s important to note that this is a different incarnation of Quicksilver from the one portrayed by Evan Peters in X-Men: Days of Future Past.

I’m very interested in how Joss Whedon plans on introducing these two, as the twins are the offspring of Magneto, who currently resides with 20th Century Fox and not with Marvel Studios.

Scarlet Johansson  is once again reprising her role as the beautifully badass Black Widow. It does look like her uniform has a small change, with the red color to the gloves.

The Black Widow’s partner, Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) takes center stage in this photo. Note the major changes to his costume, as his wardrobe looks more like that an elf would wear in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit…and I’m okay with that.

Next up we have to quirky duo of Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and Dr. Bruce Banner the alter ego of the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo). Looks like the two are hard at work in the lab…perhaps finding a way to stop Tony’s creation, Ultron?

That’s right, Marvel Studios is changing Ultron’s origins story. Now he is a creation of Tony Stark.

Oh you know, just a bunch of super-bros hanging out, chillin. Looks like Col. James “Rhodey” Rhodes/ The Iron Patriot is making a cameo, which is VERY cool. Notice Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir just sitting on the table.

Finally, we’ve got Captain America (Chris Evans) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) together. Now, both heroes have had changes made to their costumes. I am definitely a fan of Cap’s new uni, and Thor’s looks even more badass than before.
