During the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Sports Awards show, a behind the scenes look at the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie was shown. The video is nearly 18 minutes long, and thanks to YouTube user Jackieson97, you too can see what is going on with bringing the Turtles to life.
Even though the video isn’t really in HD, I guess transferring from this guy’s DVR to YouTube didn’t go so well, you can still plainly see the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in all their live-action glory.
Hosts Will Arnett and Megan Fox show us a closer and more extensive look at the ski-slope scene that is making the rounds in all the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle trailers. The special also reveals the motion-capture suits that brings Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello to life.
Although this video shows some really cool aspects that go into the making of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I’m still not sold. It’s almost like Michael Bay has reached into my childhood, taken the things that I loved the most, and completely bugger them.
Obviously, I will reserve judgment until after I’ve seen the movie, but even the act of paying to see another bastardization of one of my childhood favorite cartoons, is contributing to the global pandemic that is Michael Bay.
Look, I like explosions and hot chicks delivering one-liners as much or more than the next guy, but isn’t there something else that Michale Bay can do? Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles should not be changed because Michael Bay thinks their origin story is too simple, or that audiences wouldn’t get behind it.
They are called the Teenage MUTANT Ninja Turtles for a reason. THEY AREN’T ALIENS FROM ANOTHER DIMENSION. I’m not even a fan of the new-look Shredder…as if Michale Bay couldn’t keep his meddlesome hands off my Transformers, he had to go and make Shredder look like a retarded Decepticon?
I don’t know, you guys. I’m very skeptical about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles right now. What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments below.
